BERTHA (LEMIEUX) VOAS - Central Falls 01:00 AM EST on Friday, November 19, 2004 BERTHA (LEMIEUX) VOAS, 97, formerly of Sylvian Street, a homemaker, died yesterday at the Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Voas Sr. Born in Lowell, Mass., a daughter of the late Ernest and Emilia Lemieux, she had lived in Central Falls most of her life. Mrs. Voas had been a communicant of Notre Dame Church, and a member of its Senior Citizens. She leaves four sons, Robert J. Voas of North Smithfield, Donald Voas of North Providence, Joseph M. Voas Jr. of Darby, Mont., and Paul Voas of Warwick; two daughters, Elaine Fereira of Cumberland and Lorraine Bills of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Mary Jane Scitta of Pawtucket; and 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Raymond and Therese Voas, and Pauline Cabana, and sister of the late Eugenie LaVallee and Omer Lemieux. The funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Notre Dame Church, Broad Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
