    3. Thursday, November 04, 2004 Roland A. Pomerleau 1940-2004 LEWISTON -- Roland A. Pomerleau, 64, of 11 Tammy Lane, Lewiston, passed away on Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Born in Lewiston on Sept. 12, 1940, he was the son of Honore and Georgiana Paquette Pomerleau. Educated locally, he served in the Army from 1960 to 1967, and was honorably discharged as a Platoon Sergeant. He was employed for many years as a millwright at the Sappi Fine Paper Mill, formerly S.D. Warren, of Skowhegan, retiring due to ill health in 2001. On May 11, 1963, he was married to the former Georgette Rose Houle. A member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 106, he was a "workaholic" who always found time for his family and friends, and his granddaughters, who were the love of his life. He enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with his wife, and had a lifelong love of animals, raising many dogs over the years, including his best friend, Tasha. Survivors include his wife of Lewiston; two daughters, Sue and husband Mark Green of Lewiston, and Sandra and husband Arthur Bourget Jr. of West Gardiner; two brothers, Marcel and wife Diane, and Andre and wife Jeanne of Lewiston; two sisters, Lucille and husband Lucien St. Pierre of Lewiston, and Muriel and husband Fern Asselin of Lewiston; and three grandchildren, Morgan and Marisa Green and Emma Bourget. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Pomerleau. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Peter's Cemetery Mausoleum in Lewiston. There will be no visitation. Donations may be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation of Maine, P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104-1134. Arrangements under the care of the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home.
