Rita M. Fontaine 1918 - 2004 PALMER - Rita M. (Leveillee Smart) Fontaine, 86, of the Village of Three Rivers in Palmer was Called Safely Home on Sunday November 14, 2004. She was born in Three Rivers on February 23, 1918 a beloved daughter of the late Leo J. and Aurore (Laviolette) Leveillee Smart. She graduated from Palmer High School and lived in Three Rivers for many years. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Three Rivers and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Sodality of the Church. Her beloved husband George A. Fontaine, Jr. was Called Home on July 28, 1993. She leaves her loving son, Louis G. Fontaine and his wife Josephine M. of Belchertown. Her cherished nieces and nephew, Yvonne Lafond and her husband James of Chicopee, Louise Gardner and her husband Howie of Springfield and Andrew J. Leveillee and his wife Cynthia of Three Rivers. She was predeceased by her dear brother, Andrew Smart. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning November 17, 2004 at 9 a.m. from the Belanger Funeral Home, 2067 Main Street in Three Rivers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 2230 Main Street in Three Rivers. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Anne Cemetery on Main Street in Three Rivers. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday (today) November 16, 2004 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located across the street from the funeral home.
