    3. Arthur J. Perry Born 1928 -- Died 2004 BRADENTON, FL -Arthur J. Perry, 76 husband of Eleanor (Butler) Perry of Bradenton, FL and formerly of Danielson, died Nov. 3, 2004 after a long illness. He was born in Ballouville in 1928. He attended the Killingly Schools. He later became a caretaker for Doris Brooke for many years. He retired in the late 80's and in 1993 he and his wife Ellie relocated to Bradenton, FL. He was an avid baseball player throughout his life. In his early years he played in the Norwich City League. On July 7, 1950 he was invited to try out for the St. Louis Cardinals in Cranston RI. He enjoyed playing semifast softball and participated in the Danielson, Putnam and Wauregan Leagues until he was in his mid 50's. Art also bowled candlepins in Webster, MA for years. He played cards in the pitch league at the K of C in Danielson. He was a skilled horseshoe player, competing in the Norwich League at the American Legion Hall. He will be remembered as a helping and caring husband, father, grandfather and had many close friends. Art was always there if you needed him. One of his nicknames was "Chalaboomski" and he always said "the check is in the mail". Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Kevin A. Perry of Danielson, two brothers; Peter Perry of Dayville and Richard Perry of Putnam, three sisters; Beatrice LaBella and her husband Mario of Johnston, RI., Gloria LaPointe and her husband Raymond of Danielson, and Doris Creamer and her husband Paul of Niantic, three grandchildren; Chris Renaud, Doug Renaud, and Tyler Perry, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Renaud and grandson Todd Renaud, two brothers; Gene Paris and Edward Perry and one sister, Ellarose Couture. A Graveside Service in Holy Cross Chapel, Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson will be held on Saturday November 20 2004 at 11 a.m. Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson is in charge of arrangements.
