LOUIS B. ARCHAMBAULT - Coventry 01:00 AM EST on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 LOUIS B. ARCHAMBAULT, 81, of Madison, Fla., and formerly of Centre Street, Coventry, a retired foundry worker, died Friday at Lake Park of Madison Nursing Home. He was the husband of Dorothy Archambault, and previously had been the husband for 55 years of the late Florette (Lambert) Archambault. Born in Providence, a son of the late Albert and Florina (Bacon) Archambault, he had lived in Coventry before moving to Florida in 1998. Mr. Archambault had been a foundry worker for the former Grinnell Corp., in Cranston, for 30 years. He had served in the Rhode Island Army National Guard. Mr. Archambault was a communicant of St. James Church, in the Clyde section of West Warwick, where he was a past president of Holy Name Society, had served as a member of the parish council and an usher, and had taken part in many minstrel-show fundraisers. A member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a past Grand Knight of Gibson Council 181, in Clyde. He also had been active in scouting for many years, and had been honored with the St. George Medal, the movement's highest religious award, which is bestowed upon adults who exemplify extreme dedication to scouting. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Peggy Simons of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Donald Archambault of Hope, Richard Archambault of Lee, Fla., and David Archambault of Goldsboro, N.C.; a sister, Marielle Archambault of West Warwick; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held yesterday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, in Madison. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery, Madison County, Fla.
