Edna Clifford, Concord - Co-owner, operator of Edna's Luncheonette November 16. 2004 8:06AM E dna Clifford, 94, of Christian Avenue in Concord, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Havenwood-Heritage Heights in Concord. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Paul'sChurch in Franklin. Burial will be held in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. For more information, visit http://www.neunfuneralhomes.com. ~~~ She was born in Franklin on Sept. 25, 1910, the daughter of Edouard and Lumina (Marceau) LaCoursiere. Mrs. Clifford was raised in Alberta, Canada, and Franklin, where she attended local schools. Mrs. Clifford resided in Burlington, Vt., and Ossipee for several years before moving to Concord in 1990. Prior to World War II, she worked at the former Franklin Cleaners. During the war, she and her husband owned and operated the former Edna's Luncheonette across from Franklin City Hall. While residing in Franklin, she worked at Bero's Jewelry Store in Burlington and also volunteered at Vermont Medical Center. She also volunteered as a "Gray Lady" in Winooski, Vt. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ossipee, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord and St. Paul Church in Franklin. Mrs. Clifford was the widow of Kermit F. Clifford, who died in 1996. Family members include a brother, George LaCoursiere of Franklin; three sisters, Lucille Gauthier of Manchester, Claire Ruotolo of Chesire, Conn., and Ellen McLane of Concord; and nieces and nephews.
