    3. Richard A. Godbout Richard A. Godbout CHICOPEE - Richard A. "Rit" Godbout, 49, of Chicopee was Called Home on Tuesday October 26, 2004. He began working for B G Mechanical Contractors in 1976 and was currently the President of the company. He was also the Executive Vice - President of the Pennsylvania Power and Light of New England, the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the NEMCA and a member of the Board of Directors of the MCAC. He was born in Springfield on July 28, 1955 a beloved son of Doris M. (Boucher) Godbout of Chicopee and the late Daniel J. Godbout who was Called Home on December 10, 1999. He lived in the Brightwood section of Springfield for many years and graduated from Cathedral High School. He moved to Chicopee in 1976. He received his Associates Degree in Business and Mechanical Engineering from Springfield Technical Community College and Holyoke Community College. He was a communicant of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and a member of the Fairview Council 4044 Knights of Columbus in Chicopee. He enjoyed walking, reading and cross country skiing. Besides his beloved mother, he leaves his loving wife of 28 years, Carol J. (Lepine) Godbout. They were married in Holy Name Church in Springfield on April 24, 1976. His loving children, Christine C. Stirlacci and her husband Michael of Springfield, Daniel R. Godbout of Chicopee and Stephanie K. Godbout of Chicopee. His dear brothers and sister, Claude Godbout and his wife Kelly of Wilbraham, Suzanne R. Godbout of Chicopee and Guy A. Godbout and Sue Ellen of Chicopee. He also leaves his many dear nephews and nieces. His funeral will be held Monday morning November 1, 2004 at 8:45 a.m. from the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, 7 Chapin Terrace at the corner of Chestnut Street in Springfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 94 Springfield Street in Chicopee. His burial will follow the Mass at Saint Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee. His family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Chapin Chapel on Sunday October 31, 2004 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. For those who prefer to make a memorial donation, they may be made in his memory to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church Renovation Fund, 104 Springfield Street, Chicopee, MA 01013.
