GEORGE H. PARENTEAU - Johnston 01:00 AM EST on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 GEORGE H. PARENTEAU, 83, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Johnston, a retired Providence firefighter, died Sunday at Legacy House, in Ocala. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Parenteau. Born in Providence, he had lived in Johnston before moving to Ocala in 1988. Mr. Parenteau had been member of the Providence Fire Department before retiring. He was a member of the Retired Fire Fighters Association. An Army Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion, in Providence. Mr. Parenteau was a member of the Oak Run (Fla.) Bocce Club. He leaves a daughter, Carolyn M. Parenteau of Cranston; two sons, George L. Parenteau of Sarasota, Fla., and Russell J. Parenteau of Racine, Wis.; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, Fla.
