    3. Veronica H. Jette Plattsburgh - Veronica H. Jette, 82, of Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Riverview on June 15, 1922, the daughter of Harry and Lillian (Charbonneau) Gilmet. She graduated from Sallaz Academy in 1939, attended the Plattsburgh Business Institute and completed business courses at the College of St. Rose in Albany. She owned and operated Ronnie's Michigans in West Plattsburgh for over 27 years until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville and was a former parish trustee. She was also a former member of the St. Alexander's Altar-Rosary Society and the Dannemora Catholic Daughters of the Americas, American Legion Post 1619 Ladies Auxiliary, the Ladies of St. Joseph, the Associates of the Sacred Heart and the Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer in Ellenburg. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Vickie Jette of Morrisonville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane Marie and John Spassoff of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jacqueline Kelly of Malone; a brother, Francis Gilmet of Redford; a sister, Lita Vann of Redford; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Bill Jette, whom she married Dec. 23, 1943, died on Sept. 11, 1961; and a son, Gerard Jette, died on May 25, 1986. Two brothers, Antoine and Lawrence Gilmet; and three sisters, Theresa Brewer, Rita Lehane and Rose Deno, also died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the O' Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.
