    3. Eva M. Baker, 84, of Uxbridge Friday, November 12, 2004 UXBRIDGE -- Eva M. (Deslauriers) Baker, 84, of Uxbridge, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at home after an illness. Her husband, former Selectman John F. Baker, died Dec. 24, 1986. Born in North Uxbridge, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Ovida (Jolly) Deslauriers, and was a lifelong resident. She was educated in the Uxbridge public school system. Mrs. Baker worked with her husband more than 30 years at the Taft Printing Co. in Uxbridge. Previously, she worked colorizing pictures at Seabrave's Photography Studio, at Lynch's Drugstore at the soda fountain and at the Uxbridge Worsted Co. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, affectionately known as "Nana Baker." She was a member of St. Mary's Church. She leaves a son, James T. Baker and his wife, Maryanne, of Uxbridge; two daughters, Mary A. Shadwell of Uxbridge and Wilder, Vt., and former Selectman Marian G. Baker of Uxbridge; three grandchildren, Kerry Baker, Martha Gagne and John Shadwell; four great-grandchildren, Julia Baker, Jeremiah Baker, Joshua Gagne and Cassandra Gagne; two stepchildren, Thomas Boothby and Robert Boothby; a step-great-grandchild, Lane Boothby; and several nephews and nieces. She was also the sister of the late Leo Deslauriers, Aime "Pat" Deslauriers, Lillian M. Latraverse and Edna Johnson. A funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 13, from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road, with a Mass, at 9:30 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are today, from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608; Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital Development Office, 14 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757; or the Uxbridge Ambulance Fund, Box 362, Uxbridge, MA 01569.
