11/01/2004EDNA L. CHURCH ST. ALBANS - - Mrs. Edna L. Church, 98, a longtime area resident passed away early Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Haven Health Center following a long illness. She was born in Chicopee Falls, Mass., May 15, 1906, the daughter of the late Edmond A. and Clara (Dompierre) Ladue. On Sept. 7, 1937, she married Wayne G. Church who predeceased her on May 18, 1983. Edna was a former resident of Alburg Springs, and has resided in St. Albans, for the past 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, and formerly was a volunteer at Verdelle Village. She was also a member of the Watchful Circle of the King's Daughters, and the Friends of St. Albans Free Library. Survivors include a special niece and goddaughter, Edna "Polly" Ladue, nieces, Noreen Corrigan, Eleanor Senesac, and Catherine Stahl, and nephews, John Bushey, Lawrence Ladue, and Harold Ladue. Besides her husband Wayne, she was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Bushey, and five brothers, Donald, Lawrence, Harold, Robert, and Eugene. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the family lot at Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery in Colchester. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Albans Free Library, 11 Maiden Lane, St. Albans, Vt. 05478.
