11/17/2004GARY ALLEN ROBAR MILTON - Gary Allen Robar, 50, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at home surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on Feb. 9, 1954, in Burlington, the son of Paul and Barbara (Gonyeau) Robar. Following high school in Milton, Gary served in the U.S. Air Force, and was honorably discharged on April 24, 1974. Until his illness, Gary was the manager of the Morse Sand Co. in Milton. He was a loyal Red Sox fan and an avid golfer. Gary was a Nascar fan and an online Nascar fanatic. He was the past president of the Cobble Hill Snowmobile Club. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Robar of Milton; his brothers and sisters, Donna Mattos and husband Peter of Milton, David Robar and wife Janet of Marlow, N.H., Susan Deuso and husband Timothy of Milton, Marilyn Kudlacik and husband Joseph of Milton, James Robar of South Burlington, Nancy Muzzy and husband Brion of Colchester; and by several nieces and nephews; many special friends; and his daughter, Tiffany. He was predeceased by his father Paul in 2002. Our heartfelt thanks to the VNA Hospice, especially Mary and Rebecca for their special care and thoughtfulness. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening, Nov. 18, at 7 in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the VNA, Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Road, Suite 1, Colchester, Vt. 05446; or the Vermont Cancer Center, Health Science Research Facility, 149 Beaumont Ave., Burlington, Vt. 054050075. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, before the service, in the Minor Funeral Home.
