Blanche (Despatie) LaBonte November 17, 1916 - November 19, 2004 NORWICH- Mrs. Blanche (Despatie) LaBonte of 93 West Town St. Norwich passed away Friday evening at Norwichtown Rehab. & Care Center. She was born in Roxton Pond, Canada November 17, 1916 the daughter of Philias and Georgeanna (Lemieux) Despatie. Mrs. LaBonte had resided in the Norwich area for the past 19 years, prior to that she lived in Danielson for 10 years and Woonsocket, RI for 36 years. On November 16, 1935 in St. Mary's Church Simsbury she was united in marriage to Aime J. LaBonte. He passed away November 25, 2000. Mrs. LaBonte had been a communicant of Sacred Heart Church Taftville. She is survived by a son Omer A. LaBonte and his wife Dolores of Taftville, a grandson Ronald J. LaBonte and his wife Rosalie of Salem, 2 granddaughters Monique LaBonte of Griswold and Suzanne LaBonte of Taftville, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. LaBonte was predeceased by 3 brothers Wilfred, Donat and Gerard Despatie, and 10 sisters Merilla Leclerc, Dorilla Thomas, Aurore Deloge, Rose Joly, Marion Blanchette, Yvonne Carpenter, Bella Robidoux, Angela Robidoux, Lucille Lavalley, and Lillian Bedard. Funeral to assemble at Godere Funeral Home 21 North 2nd Ave., Taftville Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church Taftville at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
