    3. Jeannette Lapointe SOMERSWORTH - Jeannette Lapointe, 70, took her final trip on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004. Destination: Heaven! Where she is with Jesus to whom she gave her life years ago and now takes her place in the Community of Saints. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed. She lived in Somersworth her entire life. She was an active communicant at St. Martin Church and joyfully participated in the parish as a member of the Ladies Guild, Our Lady of the Rosary Prayer Group, Eucharistic Minister, baking for fairs and cooking potatoes for the breakfasts. She especially loved singing in the church choir and was eternally grateful for the privilege to sing with her beloved choir. She enjoyed sketching flowers, especially roses, which now adorn the home of her family members and friends. Her greatest joy was visiting with her family at home or on vacations across the country. She was predeceased by her parents, Lucien and Florence Fortier; her brother, Richard Fortier and her granddaughter. Theresa Lapointe. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Alphonse Lapointe; her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Claire Menard and her husband, Norman, of Berwick, Maine, Diane McHugh and her husband, Brian, of Glen; her sons, David Lapointe, currently proudly serving in Iraq, and Philip Lapointe of Somersworth. Remaining are her sisters, Rachel Masse and her husband, Martin, Pauline Adams, Lucille Hebert and her husband, Bob, and Loraine Porrelle; her brothers, Martin Fortier and his wife, Dianne, Donald Fortier and his wife, Valerie, and Ronald Fortier. She leaves behind 10 very special grandchildren and one cherished great-grandson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She will be fondly remembered for her compassionate, kind, caring, prayerful manner and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. The family wishes to thank the caring nurses from Seacoast Hospice. They especially thank her loving and caring healthcare provider Lynn Devlin of Salmon Falls Family Healthcare in Somersworth. If you are a smoker, please get help and quit smoking. ---- Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, will be on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Martin Catholic Church, W.
