George Bonnevie SANBORNVILLE - George A. Bonnevie, 78, of Heath Road, passed away Saturday evening at the Dover Rehab and Living Center after a brief illness with cancer. Born in Lynn, Mass. on Dec. 30, 1925, he was the son of Ami and Rose (Martin) Bonnevie. He was the husband of Theresa (Raza) Bonnevie. Proud of being a veteran and to have served his country, he was one of many who fought in World War II, serving under General Patton's Army as a member of the 89th Division, 2nd Battalion, 355th Infantry Regiment. They swept through Central Europe, crossing both the Moselle and Rhine Rivers in 1945. His unit was also credited with the Liberation of the Ohrdruf Concentration Camp outside of Weimar, Germany. After the war, he was employed many years at General Electric in Lynn, Mass. at the Riverworks Plant. After his long career, he and his wife moved to Wakefield to enjoy their retirement. Besides his wife Theresa, he is survived by four sons, Arthur Bonnevie and his wife, Patricia, or Kensington, Richard Bonnevie and his wife, Andrea, of Sanbornville, Ron Bonnevie and his wife, Natalie, of Farmington, Maine, and Randy Bonnevie and his wife, Babette, of Kensington; two brothers, Alfred Bonnevie of Ossipee and Leo Bonnevie of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Claudette Ankiewicz of Lynn, Mass., and sister, Rose Marie Bonnevie of the Sisters of St. Anne's Convent of Marlborough, Mass.; nine grandsons; three great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rene Bonnevie, Claire Bonin, and Annette Couillard. ---- His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church on the corner of Front Street and Lincoln Street in Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-9924. Arrangements are by the E.V.
