John Julien "Coo Coo" Ledoux Altona - Mr. John Julien "Coo Coo" Ledoux, 84, of Station Street, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Chris Forkey on the Irona Road, surrounded by his family. He was born in Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada, on June 18, 1920, the son of Arthur and Emaline (Monette) Ledoux. John was raised in Rouses Point by Roy and Lina Frenya. He had worked for the D&H Railroad and owned and operated the Ellenburg Inn. John enjoyed baseball, pinochle, fishing, telling a good joke, but most importantly, his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Emaline Ledoux; and a son, Gregory. John is survived by his wife Esther C. (Hungerford) Ledoux of Altona. They were married July 15, 1945, in Oneonta, N.Y.; his children, Roy Ledoux and his wife Carol of Lake View Terrace, Calif., Diane McIntyre and her husband John of East Islip, Long Island, and Jeanne Forkey and her husband Christopher of Altona; his grandchildren, Tina, Brandy, Roy, Connie, Denise, Danielle, Jennifer Duprey and her husband Donnie, Katie and Lance; his great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Roy, Shawna, Lilly, Daniel and Haleigh; his sisters, Lina Fosher of Rouses Point and Helen Beeman of Rouses Point; and several nieces and nephews. At John's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Altona.
