EDITH P. (BLANCHETTE) McCARTHY - West Warwick 01:00 AM EST on Thursday, November 11, 2004 EDITH P. (BLANCHETTE) McCARTHY, 90, of Legris Avenue, formerly of Main Street, died Monday in the Westview Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late John E. McCarthy Sr. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Houle) Blanchette. Mrs. McCarthy was a communicant of the former St. James Church. She leaves two sons, John McCarthy of West Warwick and Thomas McCarthy of Coventry; two daughters, Patricia E. Lombardi of Surprise, Ariz., and Mary C. Doyle of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; a sister, Doris DeCiantis of West Warwick; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Rita Callahan and Joseph Blanchette Jr., and the half sister of the late Yvonne DeGraide. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Washington Street. Burial will be private.
