Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Cyrille and Odile (Lavoie) Talbot, she had lived in Tiverton for many years and in Somerset for the past 20 years. She leaves two daughters, Vivianne Ruggiero of Somerset and Pauline Silvia of New Bedford; two brothers, Laurence Talbot of Fall River and Henry Talbot in Connecticut; five sisters, Lena Rounds, Anna Chlebek and Concorde Costa, all of Fall River, Irene Murphy of Somerset and Eva Martineau of Westport; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George, Charles, Cyrille, Albert and Alcide Talbot. Fortier, Jr. Funeral services for Elmer A. Fortier, Jr., 25, will be held at the home on Park street Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Kenneth R. Hutchinson officiating, and burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Dexter friends were shocked and greatly saddened to learn, Tuesday, of the death of Mr. Fortier by suicidal drowning. The body was taken from the Charles River in Boston after a note had been found on a nearby bridge requesting that his roommate at Boston University be notified. No reason is known for his desire to take his own life. Elmer Fortier, Jr. was born in Brookline, Mass., September 30, 1913, the son of Elmer A. and Gertrude Dearth Fortier. He came to Dexter with his parents when a boy, and received his education in the Dexter schools, having graduated from N. H. Fay High school with honors. He was also a graduate of Bowdoin n college and at the time of his death was a student at Boston University. Following graduation at Bowdoin he was employed in Boston for a time returning to Dexter where be was associated with his father in the Dexter Pharmacy, until the latters re- then went to Boston for graduate tirement several months ago. He work at B. U. The deceased was a very popular young man and unusually well liked by a host of friends who extend sincerest sympathy to the bereaved parents in the loss of their only child.

LANDRY, Père Raymond, CSV 1921 - 2007 Le père Raymond Landry, clerc de Saint-Viateur, est décédé le 8 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 86 ans, dans sa 64e année de profession religieuse et sa 60e année de sacerdoce. Né le 22 mars 1921 à Joliette, le père Landry était le fils d'Alfred-Daniel Landry et de Blandine St-Maurice. De 1949 à 1958, le P. Landry oeuvre en éducation et en pastorale dans diverses écoles du Québec. Puis de 1958 à 1974, il est professeur de musique au Séminaire de Joliette, puis dans diverses institutions de la région de Matane. À partir de 1975, il y passe quelques années au service des personnes handicapées auxquelles il enseigne la reliure, puis de 1980 à 1997, il est vicaire coopérateur à la paroisse St-Jérôme de Matane. Il rejoint alors la communauté de Base-de-Roc où il vient de décéder. Outre sa famille religieuse, le père Raymond Landry laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces des familles Dumontier, Fortin et Landry. Fortier, loving wife, beloved mother, awesome memere and faithful friend, fell asleep with the angels onSunday, June 22, 2003. Born March 28, 1935, in Leominster, Massachusetts, she moved to Brevard County in 1957 with her newlywed husband, and became a lifelong Melbourne resident. Survivorsinclude her husband of 47 years, Robert; daughter, Pauline Bunting and her husband, Larry of Palm Bay; daughter, Teri Allen and husband, Jon of Palm Bay; daughter, JoAne Fortier of Melbourne; son, Gerry Fortier and his wife,Jodie of Melbourne; grandsons, Sean Harnage, Aaron Allen, and Garrett Fortier; granddaughters, Shelly Allen and Sydney Fortier; and one brother, Robert Boudreau of Melbourne. Until her illness, Lorraine was active in her church as a Eucharist Minister and was a Health First Hospice volunteer. She had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother, and made literally thousands of Rosary Beads over the years that she sent to missionaries around the globe. For 33 years, she was coowner with her husband of East Coast Ceramics andFortier's Slips, Inc., in Melbourne and was instrumental in the development of the local ceramic industry and taught the joy of ceramics to many people. Although she will be greatly missed, we will rejoice that she is home at last with her saviour Jesus Christ. (Fortier) Priddy, 75, of 77 Tenth St., died Sunday, Oct. 31, at home after a long illness. She was born on Sept. 11, 1929, in Leominster, the daughter of Paul A. and Corinne (Beaudoin) Fortier and was a lifelong Leominster resident. She graduated from St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg in 1947. She was a member of St. Anna's Church in Leominster. Mrs. Priddy sang for many years at the USO in Ayer with the 1st Army Band -- 18th Division from 1947 to 1951, where she met and married her husband. Mrs. Priddy worked as a licensed practical nurse at Leominster Hospital from 1968 until she retired in 1976 to open and operate the former East Coast Ceramics. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts for more than 20 years and enjoyed taking her girls on several trips to Washington, D.C., and Disneyland over the years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. Mrs. Priddy was a devout Catholic who made Rosaries for several missions here in the United States and overseas. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Charles E. Priddy of Leominster; one son, Skip, and his wife, Marian Priddy, of Leominster; two daughters, Christine Moore of Florida and Carolyn Eaton of Leominster; five grandchildren, Cassandra and Erik Priddy, Kristofer Perkins, Marcia Keene and her husband, David -- all of Leominster; two great-grandchildren, Emberlee Perkins and Riley Keene; one brother, Robert Fortier of Melbourne, Fla.; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Auxiliary of the Legion of Mary and a 60-year member of the Third Order of St. Francis. She volunteered at several nursing homes.
