Mr. Babin had been a truck mechanic for 10 years, and a pumper-tank mechanic at Gulf Oil in East Providence for eight years before retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Louis de France Church, and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He leaves three daughters, Jeanine Fallon of Tewksbury, Mass., Paulette Charest of North Dartmouth, Mass., and Daphne Morin in Pennsylvania; a son, Leonard R. Babin Jr. of Hebron, Conn.; a sister, Constance Beausoleil of Swansea; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Bertrand, Norman and Horace Babin. A founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Swansea, she had also been a CCD instructor, and a member of the Women's Guild, and the Senior Club. Mrs. Duphily was also a member of the Royal Travelers in Swansea. She was an enthusiastic cook. She leaves two sons, Rene Duphily Jr. of Swansea and Louis Duphily of Ashburnham, Mass.; a daughter, Denise Rowe of Swansea; a brother, Conrad Caron, and a sister, Aurore Bettencourt, both of New Bedford; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
