She was a member of the former Welcome Prayer group at Precious Blood Church, and an elder member of the Sculate Institute Oblate Missionary of Mary Immaculate, an order she had served for 47 years. She leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank Laflamme, J. Valmore Normandin, Oscar Normandin, Sister Conrad, formerly known as Leona Normandin, and Yvonne Choquette. She was the wife of the late Edmond Levesque, the late Louis Oliveira and the late Edgar Gabariau. Born in Fall River on March 8, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Rhea (Mayrand) St. Yves. Mrs. Levesque had been a sewing-machine operator in the Fall River textile industry for many years before retiring. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Mrs. Levesque was a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptist Church, and a current parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. She leaves two stepdaughters, Barbara Adams and Paulette Smith, both of Berkley, Mass.; a sister, Anita St. Yves of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leo and Alfred St. Yves. He was the husband of the late Anna (Castonguay) Babin. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Horace Philip and Marie (Pinsonneault) Babin. Mr. Babin had been a truck mechanic for 10 years, and a pumper-tank mechanic at Gulf Oil in East Providence for eight years before retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Louis de France Church, and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He leaves three daughters, Jeanine Fallon of Tewksbury, Mass., Paulette Charest of North Dartmouth, Mass., and Daphne Morin in Pennsylvania; a son, Leonard R. Babin Jr. of Hebron, Conn.; a sister, Constance Beausoleil of Swansea; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Bertrand, Norman and Horace Babin. She was the wife of the late Rene A. Duphily Sr. Born in Acushnet, Mass., a daughter of the late Eloi and Melvina (Lajeuness) Caron, she had lived in Swansea for many years before moving to Somerset. A founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Swansea, she had also been a CCD instructor, and a member of the Women's Guild, and the Senior Club. Mrs. Duphily was also a member of the Royal Travelers in Swansea. She was an enthusiastic cook. She leaves two sons, Rene Duphily Jr. of Swansea and Louis Duphily of Ashburnham, Mass.; a daughter, Denise Rowe of Swansea; a brother, Conrad Caron, and a sister, Aurore Bettencourt, both of New Bedford; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was the sister of the late Eloi Caron and Gertrude Cloutier.
