BARIL, 77, of Broad Common Road, a former diner owner and employee of the Catholic Home, Fall River, died yesterday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Eileen M. (Costa) Baril. Born in Manchester, N.H., a son of the late Philippe Joseph and Roseanna St. Hiliare Baril, he had lived in Bristol for 55 years, previously living in Manchester for 22 years. Mr. Baril had owned and operated Libby's Diner, in Riverside, before he went to work at the Catholic Home, retiring in 1990. He retired from the Navy after serving for 20 years on various ships as a cook. Mr. Baril was a voting member of the Cup Defenders, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended schools in Manchester. He leaves two sons, Philip Baril of Dover, N.H., and Peter Baril of Bristol; three daughters, Eileen Forshee of Warren, and Libby Baril-Smith and Lisa Baril-Micheletti, both of Bristol; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Pearl Paquin and Jeannette Dion. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from George C. Richard S. St. Onge Richard S. St. Onge 1932 - 2004 EAST LONGMEADOW - Richard S. St. Onge, 72, beloved husband for 50 years to Faith (Barbier) St. Onge, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 at his home, following an illness, and surrounded by his family. Born in Ware, Richard was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country overseas during the Korean Conflict. A resident of East Longmeadow for 47 years, Richard was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael's Church, where he was also one of the church's Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers. A Charter Member and Past President of the East Longmeadow Jaycees, Richard was honored as a J.C.I. Senator. A large part of his life was his devotion for over 32 years to the Cursillo Movement of Western Massachusetts. Richard was also recognized as an Ambassador of the Weldon Rehabilitation Center, Springfield. A toolmaker for 45 years, before his retirement in 1998, Richard was the owner of Flag Precision, Inc., East Longmeadow, for 25 years. Besides his wife, Richard also leaves a devoted son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Terry St. Onge of Washington State; a devoted daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Barstow of Hadley; and 4 cherished grandchildren, Denise and Claire Barstow, Timothy and Samantha St. Onge; a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Leo Comeau of Springfield; a niece and a nephew. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (November 12th, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. in St. Michael's Church, 110 Maple Street, East Longmeadow. Herbert D. Abair Herbert D. Abair 1929 - 2004 SPRINGFIELD - Herbert D. "Herb" Abair, 75, of Pioneer Way St., died on Tuesday November 9th. Born July 16, 1929 in Winooski, VT, he was the son of the late James H. and Mary L. (Cherrier) Abair and resided in Springfield most of his life. Herb was an advocate and spokesman for the Alzheimer's Association of Springfield, previously working at Goodwill as a supervisor and the former Springfield Armory. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and the recipient of the Korean Service Medal with two Battle Stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church and an avid billiards player and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. His wife Gloria (DeGeorgio) Abair died in 1971. Raymond E. Choquette CHOQUETTE, Raymond E. Raymond E. Choquette, 77, of Manchester, husband of Alice M. Choquette, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, (November 9, 2004). Born March 12, 1927 in New Bedford, MA, son of the late Robert and Odina Marie Choquette, he lived in Manchester since 1955 and was an active member of St. James Parish. Ray served in the US Army and Air Force from 1945 to 1946 then earned a BS in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford his entire career and retired from his position of Director of Quality Assurance in 1987. Ray was active in the Air Force Association serving as the Chapter President. During his retirement Ray served with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistants program from 1988 until 1997. His love of sports was evident to those who competed with and against him on many local softball teams, including local senior leagues, and to the many youngsters he coached. John M. Minogue Sr. November 11, 2004 GRANVILLE, N.Y. - John Michael "Jack" Minogue Sr., 78, died Nov. 9, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Granville, the son of Michael and Mary (Reil) Minogue. He graduated from Granville High School in 1944. Mr. Minogue was president of M.T. Minogue Inc./Minogue's Beverage, a beer distributorship from 1934 through 1967. In 1967, Mr. Minogue opened his first of three retail beverage centers in Queensbury, the Saratoga Store in 1977 and Wilton in 1990. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He was a member and former president of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Elks Club. In 1995, he was presented with the Vincent J. Parlante Award by the Empire State Beer Distributors Association for his valued and enthusiastic support and longtime membership of the association. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Charlotte (Monette) Minogue; two sons, John Minogue Jr. of Saratoga and Robert Minogue of Glens Falls; three daughters, Charlotte Minogue of Latham, Charlene Carli of Greenfield Center and Colleen Hicks of Granville; a sister, Monica Martin of Fort Johnson; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 11/11/2004JOHN PAUL BONVOULOIR ORWELL/BURLINGTON - John Paul Bonvouloir, 92, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in the Special Care Unit of Birchwood Terrace Health Care, Burlington. His long journey with Alzheimer's has ended and he now joins his wife Anna, who preceded him in death in 1981, and since that time he has long waited to be with her. John was born in New Bedford, Mass., on Dec. 17, 1911, the son of the late Levi and Celina (Gauthier) Bonvouloir. As a young man he lived in Shelburne. In 1939 he married Anna Christian and three years later they moved to Orwell where he and Anna owned and operated a farm. It is here that they raised their family. In addition to being a successful farmer, John was proud to serve the town of Orwell as a selectman for 30 years. He was known for his skill as a dowser and he attended the annual Dowser Convention. John was a member of United Farmers, Yankee Milk, and the Extension Service Board, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Orwell. After retiring, he sold seeds for Seedway. In recent years, John will be remembered for bringing smiles to Birchwood residents with his singing. John leaves his daughter, Lucille Bonvouloir, a Sister of Mercy, Burlington; and a son, Roger and his wife Phyllis, Orwell; three grandchildren, Rebecca and her two children, Caleb and Rachael, Monkton; Peter and his wife Cynthia and their three children, Cody, Noah and Hannah, Orwell; and Sandra of Fairfax. He also leaves his sister, Caroline Bonvouloir currently of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, he leaves Eugene Giroux, Hinesburg, who became a part of John and Anna's family at a young age. In addition to his wife Anna, he was predeceased by his parents, Levi and Celina (Gauthier) Bonvouloir; sisters Dorilla Ostiguy, Florida Audette, Antoinette Goodrich, Marie Louise Guillemette; and brothers, Romeo, Orien, Anthony; and seven siblings who died very early in their lives. She was born in Highgate Center, March 29, 1911, daughter of the late Alfred and Harriet (Tatro) Bernard. She was employed at the A&P Store for 18 years. She was a member of the Franklin County Senior Citizens, the Ladies of St. Anne and a communicant of Holy Angels Church. Marion enjoyed reading, crocheting and riding in the countryside. Marion was married to Adrien Bombardier, who died March 15, 1979. She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Lyn Chynoweth of Ridgefield, Conn.; four grandchildren, Thomas, Rebecca, Peter and Suzanne; three stepchildren, Doris Ladue of Greenville, N.H., Charles Bombardier of Winooski, Kathryn (Kitty) and her husband Robert Nemkovich of St. Albans; her brother, Alfred Bernard of Winooski, stepdaughter-in-law, Betty Bombardier of Salisbury, N.C.; and many stepgrandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her stepson, John Bombardier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Bombardier family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. 11/11/2004JEAN B. (FRAZIER) BEAN SHELBURNE - Jean B. (Frazier) Bean, longtime resident of Shelburne, died unexpectedly in Fletcher Allen Health Care on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004. Jean was born in Hinesburg, July 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Max and Irene (Menard) Frazier. She was educated in the Hinesburg school system. On July 30, 1947, she married Donald A. Bean in Charlotte. Jean was the chef at The Terraces when they opened and was an integral part of that community, serving in various capacities. Jean was an active and loyal member of the Shelburne community, serving as a volunteer for various organizations. She was an active mother in 4-H when her children were young, was a member of the Shelburne Home Dem group and served as a ballot clerk for all elections, including the most recent one. Jean was a true Vermonter. She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Shelburne; their son, Douglas and his wife Carol of Hinesburg; their daughter, Patricia LaForce and husband Dean of Richmond; her three beloved grandchildren, Katelyn and Lauren Bean and Dillon LaForce. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Bean; her sister, Elsie Purinton; and her aunt and uncle, Scott and Ienza Fraser. A memorial service will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Shelburne United Methodist Church, with the family receiving friends following the service. Burial will be in the family lot in Hinesburg Village Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shelburne Rescue, P.O. James T. Turcotte Wednesday, November 10, 2004 James T. Turcotte, 84, a resident of Chelmsford for over 40 years, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. He was the husband of Ethel (Bailey) Turcotte. Born in Pawtucket, R.I. on Dec. 14, 1919, he was the son of the late Archibald and Theresa (McGoff) Turcotte. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement he was employed as the manager of Care Cleaners of Chelmsford. Mr. Turcotte was a member of the Woodworker's Club, a former member of the Merrimac Valley Chorale and a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Ralph Turcotte of Beverly; a daughter, Noor Ahmed and her husband Afhan of Milton, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Diane Shamas and her husband Kenneth of Chelmsford; a stepson, Barry McKinnon of Brookline; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Sister Helen Turcotte of Holyoke; a brother, Paul Turcotte of Atlanta, Ga. and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. Cremation to follow. Thursday, November 11, 2004 Raymond J. Guyon Jr. 1929-2004 BOOTHBAY HARBOR -- Raymond J. Guyon Jr. died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home in Boothbay Harbor. Raymond was born July 3, 1929, in Willimansett, Chicopee, Mass., the son of Raymond J. and Josephine A. (Schab) Guyon Sr. Raymond resided in South Hadley, Mass., until the 1960s, at which time he moved to Maine. He resided several years in the Augusta area before moving to the Boothbay Harbor region, where he made his final home. He served in the Navy from February 1948 to January 1953, when he was honorably discharged. Ray loved people and house painting. He had a kind and generous spirit, and he was a man who loved God. This love took him to such remote places as Africa and to Peru, where he helped to build a church in the Peruvian jungle. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and by the many people he helped. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sons, Lawrence Guyon in 1982 and Joseph Guyon in 2003. Surviving him are two daughters, Arlene Morin of Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H., and Patty Guyon of New York; a sister, Shirley Taylor of South Hadley; one niece, one nephew, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; special friends Marlene Ross of Sidney, Brian and Kim Ross and family of Fayette, Wallene Ross and family of Augusta, Darlene Little of Boothbay and Priscilla Sumabat of Whitefield. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Maine Veterans' Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond J.
