Mr. Brissette had worked for the former Consolidated Thermal Plastic, in the Nasonville section of Burrillville, for 15 years before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the St. Agatha Cenacle and the American French Genealogical Society. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John S. Brissette of Woonsocket and Thomas M. Brissette of Juliet, Tenn.; four daughters, Tammy K. and Amy L. Brissette, Suzanne M. Yarush and Pamela S. Segee, and a sister, Valerie Jacques, all of Woonsocket; and 13 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Gerald Brissette. The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the S. He was the husband of Grace H. (McLean) Rousseau; they had been married for 53 years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph and Eva (Laporte) Rousseau, he was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He had wintered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for more than 25 years. He had been the proprietor of the former Rousseau's Market, on Broadway, for many years before retiring, and also had owned thoroughbred horses. Mr. Rousseau was a communicant of St. Cecilia Church. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was a former member of Le Foyer. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Karen L. Wims of Attleboro and Janice L. Bouvier of East Providence; a son, David J. Rousseau of Pawtucket; two sisters, Rita Gilkenson of Pawtucket and Eva Merrifield of East Providence; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Born in Providence, a son of the late Henry and Anna (Kelly) Jutras, he had lived in Florida for 10 years before moving to North Providence 1 1/2 years ago. Mr. Jutras had been the owner and operator of the former Clean Sweep Floor Service, in Providence, for 25 years before retiring. He previously had worked at the A&P warehouse. Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Sheila Ricci of North Providence, Janet Silva of Scituate and Donna Lincourt of Pawtucket; two sons, Thomas Jutras of Johnston and Edward Jutras of North Providence; a brother, William Jutras in Florida; two sisters, Margaret Chatel of Warwick and Lillian Oakley in Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Co. retiree, and a former variety store owner, died Friday at The Holiday Retirement Home. He was the husband of Diana (Metivier) Rivard; they had been married for 73 years. Born in Quebec, Canada, on Dec. 10, 1911, a son of the late Vital and Marie (Charrette) Rivard, he had lived in North Smithfield for more than 50 years before moving to Lincoln. He had built his home in North Smithfield. Mr. Rivard and his wife had owned and operated the former Rivard's Variety Store, in North Smithfield, for 14 years. He had worked at Edward Parkinson Mfg. Co. for 25 years, until retiring in 1979. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers of Rhode Island, Lodge 47. He was an honorary fire chief and former volunteer with the former Primrose Fire Station, which he had helped to build. Mr. Rivard was a communicant of St. John Church, in North Smithfield, and a member of the North Smithfield Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and the harmonica. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Gertrude Lancelotti of Lincoln; a brother, Conrad Rivard in Florida; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Albert E. Janet M. Waluck 1923 - 2004 MAYNARD, Mass. - Janet Marie (Poulson) Waluck, 81, died peacefully on Wednesday, Nov 10, at the home of her daughter with her family at her side. She was the wife of Chester S. Waluck who died March 1990. They were married for 47 years. Born June 26, 1923, in Fitchburg Mass., she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Booth) and Paul Poulson and lived in Maynard until moving to Rochester, NH, in 1987. She recently returned to Maynard to be with her daughter and family. She was a 1941 graduate of Maynard High School and continued her education in Boston at The Fannie Farmer Cooking School and the Wilson Cake Decorating School. She worked at the family business, Paul's Food Shoppe in Maynard as a talented cake decorator, delighting her customers with beautiful birthday and wedding cakes until retiring in 1985. She moved with her husband to Rochester, NH, in 1987, to enjoy their retirement years. She was an active member of the Board of Directors of the Homemakers of Strafford County and auxiliary for several years. She spent summers at Dummer's Beach campground in Weld, for the past 49 years and was a member of the Webb Lake Association and the Historical Society. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her circle of friends. She leaves her daughter, Brigit Anne Sokolowski and her husband, Ed, and granddaughter, Nichole Sokolowski, all of Maynard; her brother, Albert Poulson, of Stow, Mass.; a sister, Betty Campbell, of Ft. She was born Sept. 21, 1937, in Rutland, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Ryan) Foley. She graduated from high school in Fair Haven in 1955 and nurse's training at Gifford Memorial Hospital in Randolph in 1958. She married Norman Giroux on June 30, 1962, in Fair Haven. He predeceased her. Mrs. Giroux was a registered nurse at Gifford Medical Center for 40 years, retiring as charge nurse in 2001. She was a member of Sts. Donatian and Rogatian Catholic Church in Randolph, and past member of the Catholic Daughters and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, cooking and reading. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Giroux of Randolph; three sons, Edward Giroux, James Giroux and David Giroux; two brothers, James Foley and John Foley of South Burlington; and four grandchildren. (Socquet), 43, of 121 Finney Drive, Lyndonville, Vt., died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 2, 1961, in Montague, Mass., the daughter of Paul and Maryann (Gaudry) Socquet Sr. She attended local schools in Turner Falls and was a graduate of TFHS, Class of 1979. Mrs. Mayers started as a part-time employee at JCPenney store in Greenfield in 1977. She continued her career as a trainee at JCPenney in Greenfield until 1985; then became merchandise manager in Bennington, Vt., from 1985-1991; in Sturbridge, Mass., from 1991-1995; and in Latham, N.Y., from 1995-1996. From 1996-1998 she was the operations and personnel manager in Johnson City, N.Y.; from 1998-1999, she was the district operations and personnel manager in Clifton Park, N.Y. In 1999, she became store manager in St. Johnsbury, Vt., where she worked until present. She led this store to Chairman's Awards in 2001, 2002 and 2003. She was presented the Women of Achievement Award for the Professional Business Women's Organization. She was a volunteer for the United Way of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and was active in the Girl Scouts of America, Upward Bound, Hand to Hand, Warm the Children and the Lyndonville Fire Department. She was a member of the St. Johnsbury Rotary Club and was Rotarian of the Year in 2001. Besides her parents, Paul J. Socquet Sr. of Montague, Mass., and Maryanne Socquet of Greenfield, Mass., she leaves her husband of 19 years, Robert A. Mayers of Lyndonville, Vt.; the loves of her life, her two cats, Phillip and Grace; one brother, Paul J. Socquet Jr. of Turners Falls, Mass.; one sister, Gail E. Pearson of Turners Falls, Mass.; and several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews and one great-nephew. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 18, at 9:15 a.m., from Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square in Turners Falls, Mass., followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Church with the Rev. Stanley J. Aksamit officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home. PAYETTE: Viola F., 102 Monday November 15, 2004 PAYETTE: Viola F., 102, of North Haverhill, N.H., passed away at the Grafton County Nursing Home, Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004. Viola was born a daughter to Francis and Rosalee Herteau, Sept. 12, 1902, in Lebanon, N.H. Surviving family members include a daughter-in-law, Lucille Payette of Florida; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Albani Payette; one son, James A. Payette; one brother, and two sisters, predeceased her. A celebration of her life was held Nov. 13 at the Pillsbury Funeral Home in Littleton with the Rev. Fr. John Fleming as celebrant. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon, N.H.
