    3. I started in 1991 with FTM 2 and been upgrading more or less regularily ever since. When I upgraded to FTM 2008 in April 2008 I had about 4400 names in my database. I now have 8907. The new FTM's make it so easy to add names is is unbelieveable, and I suspect all of the new names are not all believeable, but it is easy. I got my free upgrade to FTM 2009 and installed it with no problem. The comments on the free trial being for Ancestry.com for 14 days are correct. I myself use ancestry.ca and the new FTM incorporated it in with no problem. 3. Thanks Frank for clarifying I agree I like 2009 I do not however use FTM as my primary genealogy software anymore I use Legacy which is fantastic ! I run and also use FTM, Legacy, Family Tree Legends, Gensmarts and Rootsmagic because all of them have different reporting and utilities that I use. You can buy FTM 2009 right now on Amazon for $89 and you get **Includes a six-month subscription to Ancestry.com, interactive training tutorial, The Family Tree Maker Little Book of Answers, a 25% off coupon for Ancestry DNA and a 15% discount on a professionally printed family history book or poster http://www.amazon.com/Family-Tree-Maker-2009-Platinum/dp/B001B5FHME/ref=sr_1 _3?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1225638764&sr=8-3 shop around! This is a great Xmas present ! -----Original Message----- From: can-qc-missisquoi-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:can-qc-missisquoi-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Frank Allen Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2008 8:09 AM To: can-qc-missisquoi@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CAN-QC-MISSISQUOI] A Free Upgrade to Family Tree Maker 2009 I started in 1991 with FTM 2 and been upgrading more or less regularily ever since.
