I know that this is not related to the subject of the message board, but I thought some of you would be interested to know that the 1911 census for England and Wales was released this week. This is the most recent census available in the UK. This service is not free and does require payment. However you can do a free preliminary search which will show you the results of your search and then you pay to view the images. If you would like to view the website go here. http://www.1911census.co.uk/ This was the first UK census which the householder filled in him/herself rather than it being done by an official enumerator so you would be able to see your ancestors own handwriting. Please be aware that not all of the counties are available yet, but the site does give details of what you can look for and what is still being prepared.
