    3. My Grandmother was Mabel Grace Gilligan born Stanbridge, Quebec, on 10th Dec 1879, and emigrated to Scotland about 1893 ( still to find her name on the Immigrant ships arriving in the UK). She died in Scotland on 20th Nov 1966 without providing much info on her Canadian family. Through Drouin records and other sources I have acquired some knowledge of her family and in conjunction with a distant and long lost relative in the USA am currently concentrating on an Edward Gilligan. He emigrated to Burlington, Vermont, around 1885 and seems to have lived in various States in the area - Maine, Mass etc - and indeed served in the Spanish Wars of 1898(2nd Mass.Infantry) where he contracted Malaria and various other ailments. He subsequently died in a Soldiers Home in Johnston City, Tennessee in 1914 aged 48 years. He spent years between the end of the Spanish Wars and his death making application for a Pension (without success despite several appeals). In one of his Depositions he gives his Next of Kin as Marian Gilligan (my Gr-Grandmother) living at Rosenberg, Canada. Can anyone tell me where Rosenberg might be? I have `googled` the name with only Texas shown. Thanks Jim
