The Allen's, Dee's, Turner's, Duboyce's, Stowe's and Hilliker's came from the US in the late 1700's and early 1800's to Missisquoi (Stanbridge and Dunham) and Brome (Brome Twp) The other's came there from England and Ireland. I was born and raised in Foster (now Ville de Lac Brome), Brome Township, Brome County in 1932 and grew up there so I know the area fairly well.
