I'm looking for information on the parents of my great-great grandmother, Effa (or Effie) Ann (HARDY) SWEET, who was born, according to her death record in Dunham, around 08 Oct. 1823. Her death record says that her parents were Michael and Sarah (DEE) HARDY. (She was married to Jonathan P. SWEET, and she died in Berkshire, VT, 08 Feb. 1875. (Census records for 1861 Canada, and 1870 VT, has NY as her birthplace, but the death record has Dunham)). I'd love to find anything on this HARDY family as the only real information I have on Effa is her death date, and that's where her parents were listed. I've not found the Hardy family in any Canadian or US censuses. Thank you. Kathy Campbell
