    3. Hi, Yes these are my Armstrongs.  I am descended from George L. Here is what I know about Samuel: Born Dec 10, 1827 and baptised July 13, 1828 at Frelighsburg Holy Trinity Anglican Church.  He was married to Rachel Booth (1839-1915), daughter of Joshua Booth and Sara Taylor, around 1859. I know nothing of an Isabella Armstrong, and in fact if Rachel's date of birth is correct I don't believe that would be their child. I think there was a child, Florence Adelaide Armstrong born 1861 and died 12 December 1871 in Berkshire, VT. I believe Samuel died around 1869 in Vermont. Rachel then married William Armstrong (Samuel's brother) around 1872. William had been married to Mary Jane (Ann?) Booth, sister to Rachel. Mary Jane died in 1871. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the Galusha Letters- they are a collection of letters donated to a museum in Lowell, MA. I can tell you more about them if you are not familiar. Anyway Samuel wrote several of those letters, and I can send you transcripts if you are interested. My questions on the Armstrongs have to do with George. I have seen conflicting documents asying he was born in Canada and he was bornn in Ireland. I am also trying to find a ship's manifest for the Armstrong's journey. 3. Hi, After further checking, I do have William b. 1826 d. 1903 m. 1st Mary Jane Booth b. 1826 d. Aug 13, 1871 and his 2nd wife Rachel b. 1839 sister of Mary Jane Booth. Children of William and Mary Jane are Theodore b. Mar 13, 1849, Hattie b. May 4, 1857, Waldo b. May 1, 1863. They lived in Berkshire, Vt and buried in East Franklin, VT. It has been a while since I did anything on the Armstrongs so a little foggy on them right now but I do have Samuel married to Rachel Booth. I found another record on a Samuel Armstrong that must belong to another family that says, Jones, Thomas s/o Thomas Jones of Frost Village, was married by license to Isabella, dau of late Samuel Armstrong of Shefford 31 Dec 1872 Witness Mahilol? Armstrong and James Latty. All I have on George L. Armstrong b. 1825 d. 1890 is that he is married to Lavina Bridge and that George is buried at Newport Centre. I have a one page record of the Children of Robert Armstrong and Ann Booth that comes from Berkshire that says Robert and Ann Armstrong sailed from Sligo, Ireland. They came from the County of Lathram and town of Drumsharribo with ten children and were on the ocean thirteen weeks. Sailed Apr 17, 1823. I'm not familiar with the Galusha papers only that Sarah Ann Armstrong b. 1832, one of the daughters of Robert Armstrong and Ann Booth married an Aaron Leland Galusha. Sure, I would love to see a copy of the transcripts if you have one. My email is below. 2. I am just curious - what are the Galusha Letters? Would they contain any info about other families?
