This is a good time for a little summer project that maybe will boost all of our research. I have had much success with posting docs and pdf to Scribd ( its a sharing site for documents) and it being found easily in Google searching ! Something about the way that site is indexing words is really enhancing folks finding things I post there. I am going to create some of my own family reports and post them and I thought "hey, that's a great idea for the Missisquoi Group to do too " Now --how you get these is using your own genealogy software is to create reports. I don't know how proficient you are but reports are a great thing to learn. I use all the major genealogy software , I keep my main file on Legacy and then use Family Tree Maker 2010 for Ancestry research so I can help a little with those. Basically go to the reports area of you software and create reports for the families you have from the Missisquoi area and send them to me and I will post them to Scribd and to our Missisquoi genealogy research blog You can do just family group sheets or do descendent reports or some programs even allow you to do books. You can also create some word documents with photos of people or cemeteries just make sure you include family names . once you get the hang of it it takes to seconds to do! I have been having some personal luck with this maybe we as a research community will make some connections too.. Not everyone can afford the $300 for Ancestry so folks are increasingly just googling around It's summer and we all need a project ;-) send me anything in docs and pdfs -if you have jpg put them in a word doc with descriptions and I'll post everything I get both of these places.. Here is a example of a report someone sent me http://www.scribd.com/doc/21769959/John-Washburn-Descendants Thanks, Nancy
