    2. Erin Bradshaw
    3. Hi all, I have just received info from family members that we have "First Nations" ancestry (possible Cree). Any advice on how to go about proving/disproving this? I would be from Joseph Viens b. about 1850, married Marguerite Duval b. 06 Feb 1852, Henryville, Iberville, Quebec. I have not been able to find birth record for Joseph (unless he is the illegitimate b. Dunham 1850). Marguerite dau. of Jean Baptiste Duval (Guillaume,Guillaume) and Elizabeth Fontaine. Erin

    1. [CAN-QC-MISSISQUOI] Thompson families
    2. Is anyone researching this Thompson line? It connects to a branch on my Miller line. Hugh Johnson and Deborah Thompson - Their son William Russell Johnson married Flora Oella Miller in 1882. Flora was the daughter of Bethuel Miller & Sarah Catherine Kelly (who were my ggg-grandparents). I also have a Bertha Thompson who married a George Miller. They had a daughter Pearl born in 1905 who married Sheldon E. Miller. Sheldon is connected to Flora's line, but not sure of this George. I'd like to find out more about this Johnson and Thompson lines. I am also wondering of Deborah and Bertha were related. Thanks, Sandy Williams

    1. [CAN-QC-MISSISQUOI] Eastern Townships Archives update.
    2. Some of you may know that several years ago I self published a book on the Schoolcraft's. About half that book deals with families in the Eastern Townships. I have decided to make a web based copy of that book available on the Eastern Townships Archives. If you wish to read or look for links to your own research you may access that book from: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~qceastwn/archives.html The link to the book is near the top of the page, second link under heading "Books". Unless you are already configured to accept cookies, to run Java script and permit popup windows, your browser may display a message above the page with instructions regarding these. (I use all three features on these pages in order to be able to create the menu structure, the outline descendent reports and the citations that you will see. They are not "tracking" anyone.) There are a few browsers, such as WebTV, that probably will not work with this. 1. [CAN-QC-MISSISQUOI] Boucher, Regan, O'Brien
    2. I am trying to locate Bouchers for information on Thomas Boucher who married first: Mary Jane O'Brien and second: Mary Theresa Regan in 1909 in Canada. Thomas Boucher of Province of Quebec married Mary Jane O'Brien from East Farnham at Haverhill, Mass. 24 July 1887. He was 21 and she was 23. He was in the ice business. His parents: John Bap't - probably Jean Baptiste - and Mary Louise. The name of the priest was also Boucher. Mary Jane died in 1907 and is buried in Adamsville. Thomas is not buried with her. No information on his date of death. Thomas and Mary Jane or sometimes called Jennie had one son Thomas born in 1890 - he lists his birthplace as Haverhill but no record of his birth has been found. Thomas married second: Mary Theresa Regan in Montreal in 1909. Do not know if they had any children. Charles Boucher m. Artemis Demers (also spelled Dunner in some records) 12 April (not sure about this as the ink is faded) 1883 at Haverhill. His parents are Jean B. and Mary L. .Their children were: Boucher, Charles, Jan 1863, m 17 years. Arthimise, Aug 1863 Arthur, Mar 1887 Eugene, July 1889 Albert, Mar 1891 Omer, April 1892 Lora, Aug 1893 Hector, Apr 1896 Freddie, Jan, 1897 Almer, (male) Jan 1899 All children born in Massachusetts. 3. If your Benjamin Franklin Wood actually died 6 Aug 1890 (not 1891) at Rouses Point, NY, then his obit says he was "the son of Dr. Wood, a prominent physician at Alburg."   I looked in Stratton's "Unfinished" manuscript and that was Dr. James W. Wood who settled there in 1803. Son Benjamin Franklin Wood was b. 21 Nov 1811. Dr. Wood had married Mary Peterson 20 Jun 1807 at Alburg. The article does give further info, but no info on his parentage.  I can scan the page and send it to you if you would like.
