    3. Hi Peggy, I hope I'm not suggesting steps already tried, but, have you checked the marriage indexes for Ontario for 1875? Check with your local public library or LDS Family History Centre for this index on microfilm. If they married in 1875, AND if it was registered, it will provide a regisration number (and I think a location?!) with which you can determine which registration microfilm you need to borrow from the Ontario Archives (order through your local libary). The marriage registration should tell you the parents of the bride and groom. (I had a case just like this with a g-g-grandfather in Huron Co.) You might also see if there's a death notice for either William or Jane. Have a look at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/8/12/index-e.html the checklist of Canadian newspapers at for Carman, MB papers. Also, do you know if they are buried in or around Carman? Contact the Manitoba Genealogical Society for cemetery transcriptions at http://www.mts.net/~mgsi/ (home page). Good luck! Let us know Jean S.
