Hi Connie Check and see if the 1891 census has a Schedule 2 which lists "deaths in the last twelve months"; Second, check the Ontario Death Index(es) of/from the Ontario Archives (usually available at your nearest large Public Library, or FHS). Ask for MS 937 Reel 5 and/or 6 (you may need to check both, but likely Reel 6). Here's the Ont. Archives link to tell about them: http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/interloan/v-di-t.htm get the Registation # from the index (link on how to use: http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/interloan/v-dindexes.htm ) Follow the instructional links from there. Once (and if) you find a death registration, check the local papers of that date for an obit. Hope this helps Happy hunting!
