Good Morning. I am new to this list. We have Irish who came to Ontario Closest that I can find is that they were of Bandon, Cork County, Ireland. I found them living at Arthur, Peel township, Wellington County, Ontario at the 1861 census. I think they may have been in Ontario earlier than that. Can anyone tell me what prompted the Irish to leave "home", and what drew them to Ontario in those days? Thank you, Diane, in Iowa USA
