    2. Here is one often overlooked technique to find out where in Ireland when the records only say Ireland. Check all the records of the ancestor's siblings and their children. Your ancestor's siblings probably were born in the same Irish town as your ancestor. If one sibling had a son who got married in the bride's parish, the town clerk or parish priest there might have written "Father's birthplace: " or "ex loco" and the exact town.
