Sons received their O.I.C. for their 21st Birthday, daughters the same or, at the time of their first marriage .. should they not be of age. (Undoubtedly made the girls a desireable catch !!!!!! ) Handy to know this, because it gives a close, approximate age, of an Individual. It closed the gap on a 3rd G-Grandfather of mine, and helped narrow down the year of his birth, to approx 1779., the Grant having been made in 1800. Paul Robins, U.E.
