Does anyone know how to go about finding a late birth registration in Ontario. I've seen some registered several years later (birth-1898 but registered in 1948). It obviously wouldn't appear in the birth index nor on Ancestry so how could I find it? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Nancy
Hi Nancy, Yes, they do appear on Ancestry.ca. I have free access to Ancestry so if you like, I can look something up for you. Nancy, I actually found a delayed birth registration on Ancestry.ca for my gran's brother who was born in 1906 and the birth registration was registered in 1952 and signed by my great grandmother. I was not expecting to see something so recent, but was grateful at the time... my message is that it's worth checking any source, even ancestry. You never now what you will find.
