Meantime, you can get this info yourself If you find a name of interest, you can order a copy of the census page from the National Archives. Requests for copies must include complete references: RG 31, name of person, district name and number, sub-district name and letter, division (if applicable), page number, microfilm reel number. (These details are all found in the INDEX online) There is a small fee - for details plus the mailing address and fax number, see http://allcensusrecords.com/canada/1871census.shtml or "Obtaining Copies of 1871 Ontario Census " at http://olivetreegenealogy.blogspot.com/2007/03/obtaining-copies-of-1871-ontario-census.html That's a long URL so you can start at http://olivetreegenealogy.blogspot.com/search/label/Census%20Records and scroll down the page to read the instructions Lorine -- Olive Tree Genealogy http://olivetreegenealogy.com
