I am trying to establish the children of William Cunningham. On various marriage and baptism records of "Cunningham" and "Corbett" individuals there are witnesses with the surnames of Spears (Speer, Spiers) and Arnold. As it is believed the Corbett and Cunningham families immigrated together from County Down, Ireland, I am wondering if there are connections to the Spears/Speers/Spiers and Arnold families as well. I am researching my Speers family, they too came to Canada from County Down and so did the McKnights. Could you give me some background on the Speers that you are referring to?
