My ancestor was William Cunningham, wife Sarah, who came from Ireland to Simcoe County around 1830. It is believed the Cunningham and Corbett families of Essa were associates in County Down, Ireland. THey immigrated to Canada together with a number of Children, with others being born in Canada. Isabella Cunningham, daughter of William and Sarah, married David Corbett..parents as yet unknown but possibly David or Samuel...on 31 January, 1845.
