He died December 29, 1955 He married mary Ann Kellam Mar 4 1903 at Coleraine, Ont Mary Ann was born Dec. 15 1877 at Vaughan, Ont. and died March 29 1952 at Coleraine. Their children were : 1. Laura Gertrude Johnston born 1904 and married Wilfird Brooks 2. Edna Jean Johnston born Sept 7 1906 (twin) Married Trueman Bell , June 30 1937 and died sept 30 1977 3. Eldred John Johnston born Sept 7 1906 (twin) married Annie Clark June 11, 1932. Died Nov 15 1979 4. Muriel Johnston born approx 1908 Married Melville DeConkey June 1936. ( THIS is what I saw that got my attentyion to e-mail you) Generation Back John Johnston born 1840 Toronto Gore died 1902 Toronto Gore married Ellen patterson from Vaughan Ont on Jan $ 1872 , John farmed the homestead at Toronto Gore.( Coleraine Ont) John died after been hit in the head with falling timber from a barn raising. He died leaving his wife and 7 children: Children are : 1. Herbert Johnston - moved to Manitoba 2. Elizabeth Johnston Married Russell Warren and moved to Manitoba 3.Robert Archibald was a teacher. 4. David Egerton born 1875 married Charlotte Jane Devins . David was a Methodist minister. 5. Gertrude Johnston married James Sutton and moved to Vancouver 6.
