If you know where your ancestors lived, you may wish to scan through the images. You could also send out a query asking if some kind soul who is a member would look up your people. Both OnGenWeb and OGSPI have indexes of various townships whose 1851 censuses have survived. These have been done by volunteers and are available on the web, free to use.
