Author: suncoaster Surnames: WALKER, GILBERT, BEATTY Classification: census Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.canada.ontario.simcoe/2574/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for a way to access census data between the above dates, to find out more about my grandfather's whereabouts after he appeared on the 1881 census as Tracy Gilbert, apparently adopted by the Thomas Walker family then living at Stanton in Mulmur twp. He shows up on the 1901 census as Tracey Walker, a domestic in the John Ewing family, also near Stanton. I can find no birth record for him, though I have confirmed that his birth father was Hezekiah Gilbert, birth mother Mary Anne McLean Beatty, daughter of Nancy Walker (Thomas Walker's sister)and William Hamilton Beatty.
