Hi Ardis: Yes, you are able to order documents from the National Archives. They will send them either by mail or via internet which would be a lot faster. Here is their order page and information: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/recordcopying/estimateoptions.aspx I found the birth place of Robert John Munro on his death registration. It is also given on his daughter, Hannah Harriett's, death registration. Hannah's birthdate on the death registration is given as July 14, 1860 at Concession 7, Lot 17, Vespra. I mistakenly said she was living there when she died in 1928. She died in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. The informant was her brother, T. L. Munro who was living at R. R. #2, Barrie, Ontario. Would you like me to send you copies of Robert John and Hannah's death registrations to your personal e-mail address? This year, I visited the Anglican Archives in Toronto and Mary-Anne Nicholls was very helpful. My cousin has received copies of baptismal and marriage records from them in the past when she contacted them by e-mail. This would probably be the best way to get information about your Munro and associated families since you need birth/baptismal records before 1869-1870 . They had many records on microfilm of the Barrie area available. Here is their URL: http://www.toronto.anglican.ca/index.asp?navid=591 I just had a look at some of the records I copied for Concession 7 in Vespra. There are at least 18 lots that were military grants between 1833 and 1835. I will be going to the Collingwood Library soon to check a couple of obits for someone and I will have a look at the Land Records index for your John Munro to see if I can find some information for you. I wish I had known you had family research in the Vespra area when I met you. That area is one of my main interests. Regards, Lynne Kemp. _________________________________________________________________ R U Ready for Windows Live Messenger Beta 8.5?
