Look at the 1881 census for Simcoe County, and you will find three children, Robert, Edward and Ann Jane Switzer living with another family. Edward died in 1934 in Essex County, and his parents are listed as Robert Switzer and Margaret Adair. He is buried at Greenlawn Memorial cemetery. The informant was his daughter, Nellie Purvis. he was a fisherman. Edward married Agnes ST. John. In 1910 they are living in Sault Ste. Marie, Chippewa County, Michigan with their children: Robert, Anna, Dorothy, Edward, Daniel, Agnes, William, Nellie and Maud. Daniel married Jean Helen Wilson. I found a Robert Switzer, who may have been Edwards brother, who died in Simcoe County of suicide. I did not find a marriage for Ann Jane Switzer, sister to Edward.
