    1. [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Simpsons, of Orillia and Midland
    2. Paul and Ruth Robins
    3. Does anyone know if there was a blood relationship between EZRA SIMPSON ( Senior ) of East Oro, and later Orillia .. and Thomas Simpson of Midland ???? Story shakes out, as follows : Dr. William Harold Mosley, the first dentist in MIDLAND .. prior to 1900 . was my wife, Ruth's maternal Grandfather. He married CORAH MAUD SIMPSON , June 26, 1895, in Parry Sound, Ontario. Corah Maud died, May 25, 1901, in Midland, as a result of childbirth, May 8, 1901. She is buried in Lakeside Cemetery, Midland. The baby, Maud Marguerite Mosley ( Ruth's mother ) survived, and was raised by LYDIA SIMPSON, daughter of Ezra. Dr. Mosley married Lydia, April 25, 1903, in Orillia. Corah Maud's parents, Thomas Simpson, and Sarah Archibald, were living in Midland, at the time of her death, so the presumption is That they looked after the baby for the intervening two years, before William Mosley remarried. William Mosley and Lydia Simpson had one child, a son Harold, who, as far as we know, left no descendants. The nagging feeling is that the two SIMPSON Families were, somehow, related, but, to date, I haven't been able to put it together. There is a 21 year spread between Ezra, and Thomas, according to the 1901 Census. It appears unlikely that they were full brothers. Have some decent information of several of these folks, if anyone is interested. Paul Robins, Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
