I have only one Thomas Arnold born in Ireland, no birthdate yet. (SO far). This guy did have one known daughter, Mary Ann, who married Andrew Stewart of Picton, Prince Edward County in 1865. There are SO many people with the same name it's hard to figure out which one is which! I am surprised at how many men had the middle name of Alexander as well. They must be connected to the original settler (Alexander Arnold). Are you aware of the old naming patterns? The first born son of a family was usually named for his paternal grandfather. WE have several Alexander Arnold's in the area in the early days. Can we surmise that they are all first born grandsons of an Alexander Arnold back in Ireland? Could it be that a gang of cousins immigrated together? All questions for us to investigate. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
