    3. Could any one please tell me whom I would contact for a copy of a baptism record. My mother passed away in March of this year. I was given a tin which contained many memoriam cards, and obits of people she knew or was someway related to. But amongst all of these, was my mom's baptism certificate. It was folded so many times, that over the years it fell apart. And it is missing 2 pieces. It said she was baptised at the Vasey Church. Any help or direction on this, would be so very much appreciated. Teresa Jones Searching: McLaughlin, Barr, McNeill, Hiltz, McAvoy/McEvoy

    3. Teresa You could contact the Church in which she was baptized. I e-mailed the Church to see if they had a record of mine, and it was e-mailed to me. Hope this helps Ruth ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darryl & Teresa" <darter@rogers.com> To: <can-ont-simcoe@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 8:05 PM Subject: [CAN-ONT-SIMCOE] Baptism records Could any one please tell me whom I would contact for a copy of a baptism record. 3. I understand that Vasey is north of Barrie, but there may be more than one church there. So if you know the religion of your mother's family then you could search through www.canada411.com for the Church there, or via Google. I know there is a United Church there. Then you can write for a copy of the baptism and at the same time you should send them a copy of the obituary as they may make a note of her death in the column. (I've seen that done elsewhere). Cheers!
