    3. Again, will miss this broadcast! Leaving for a couple of weeks to camp, but hopefully someone on the lists can listen and benefit. If you have Scottish roots, listening to BBC Scotland, Orkney or Shetland is a treat. Lauraine BBC Radio Scotland are running a short series on genealogy research (mainly for Scotland) on a Sunday morning at 11am. This is the second series, the first being broadcast about six months ago. There have already been two programmes in the current series. This programme is available to "Listen Again" for a week after initially broadcast. So if you want to listen to last Sunday's programme you'll only be able to get it over the next couple of days. If you have broadband access the quality is pretty good. It should still be OK over a modem, but the quality will be much lower. Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/radioscotland/ and follow the link in the left hand menu to "Listen Again".Then scroll down the page to find "Digging Up Your Roots". You can also listen to it as it's broadcast on the internet, or even on a radio if you have one that can tune in to Radio Scotland.

    3. Lauraine -- WHY did you add "Off Topic" in the subject line? It would not be off topic for the SIMCOE list, as many residents reading the messages, including myself, do have Scottish ancestry. However, should anyone find an elusive Lady Jane MacKenzie, written out of her family history because she married my gr.gr.grandfather John Davis -- please let me know!
