Just a quick note to let listers know that there is a new book by Douglas Skelding detailing the history of the Collingwood Fire Department available at the department offices and at the Collingwood Library. The hardcover book not only has the history of the department, but also details many of the fires, where they occurred, and who was involved. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the names given, and think it would be useful to anyone doing research in the area (family history, architecture, etc.). It has many period photographs as well.
