James died in 1945. Isabella had died in 1930. Their daughter Olive Brethet Seeley is also buried there. She died in 1991. I was able to find a short obituary for James, and a longer one for Isabella in the Barrie newspaper. Their other children are listed in hers. If you want me to give you the text of the obituaries, contact me directly at my e-mail address: mgendron@bconnex.net You mentioned your mother lived with the Brethet in the early 1940's. Because Isabella had died before then, could it have been one of their daughters who was the female in the household? Might it have been son William's household where your mother stayed? But maybe William was still on his father's farm?? Another person who replied to you said he had Brethet family in Bond Head. In Isabella Brethet's obituary, one of the people who came to her funeral from a distance and was a pallbearer was John Brethet of Bond Head. So it seems there was a connection between those families. Sincererly, Diana Gendron mgendron@bconnex.net Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
