My Aunt Sarah Selina Tate and husband Joseph or Orillia, Simcoe County, Ontario, had no children of their own for whatever reason but they did have a British Home Child from about 1909 to 1913 or so ( dates from memory). She was Elsie Dorothy Batty born England . A British Home Child who had a sister but I can't remember the name. Sarah Selina wanted very much to adopt this little one but it was not to be. Her mother picked her up and from there I know nothing. This little information came from the Barnardo Home in England. I have been hoping to find descendents Batty.
